Calendimaggio: propitiatory rite for summer arrival, it is a medieval and renaissance costume event, wavers of flags, bow-men,  and medieval minstrels  animate the streets of the town.  Held the first Thursday, Friday and Saturday after the 1st of May.

Orvieto

Orvieto: Located on the top of a volcanic tuff hill, it is a double town: on the surface there is a beautiful medieval center, underneath a maze of grottos dug for over 2800 years in the pillar supporting the town.  In December Jazz Winter Festival transforms this peaceful town into an ideal stage for gospel choirs and jazz sessions.

Cortona:  Valdichiana is one of the largest valleys in Tuscany.  From Cortona, an Etruscan town later enriched with medieval and renaissance buildings, you can really admire this beautiful valley.  Not far from Villa Stampa, it could become the place for a walk and an aperitif before dinner.  A stop at Snoopy ice-cream parlor in front of the theatre is a must.
